1·Numerical simulation of aeolian vibration based on computational fluid dynamics;

2·Therefore, the wire in the clamping region is prone to be damaged because of aeolian vibration of overhead transmission lines.

3·Differing from the traditional energy balance method (EBM), the aeolian vibration has been researched by the semi-analytical solution.

4·The numerical simulation on aeolian vibration phenomenon of the transmission line is implemented by using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) method.

5·Dampers are widely used in aerial conductors to reduce the severity of aeolian vibration and the accompanying fatigue damage to conductor strands and fittings.
