1·Prior parties refers to other debtors of an instrument who endorsed it prior to its endorsement by a specific signatory or bearer.

前手是指在票据签章人或者持票人之前签章的其他票据债务人。

2·Bearer means a person in possession of a negotiable instrument, document of title, or certificated security that is payable to bearer or indorsed in blank.

“持票人”指占有凭票付款或空白背书的流通票据、所有权凭证或实物证券的人。

3·When exercising his rights with regard to an instrument, the bearer shall endorse the instrument and present it according to statutory procedures.

持票人行使票据权利，应当按照法定程序在票据上签章，并出示票据。

4·In cases where the bearer through gross negligence acquires an instrument which does not comply with the provisions of this Law, then the bearer shall not enjoy the instrument right.

持票人因重大过失取得不符合本法规定的票据的，也不得享有票据权利。

5·However the exception is in cases where the bearer acquired the instrument with the foreknowledge that such opposition existed.

但是，持票人明知存在抗辩事由而取得票据的除外。

6·Liability for negotiable instruments as referred to in this Law denotes the obligation of the debtor to pay the sum specified in the instrument to the bearer.

本法所称票据责任，是指票据债务人向持票人支付票据金额的义务。

7·The loss of negotiable instrument is that the bearer lost negotiable instrument but not on his inclination.

所谓票据丧失，即持票人并非出于自己的本意而丧失对票据的占有。
