1·The results of the properties tests show that the adhesive has stronger adhering force when the reactive diluent has more hydroxy and carboxyl groups.

2·The UV curable coating of fiber ribbon was prepared by blending bisphenol A epoxy acrylate(EA) and polyurethane acrylate(PUA)and adding reactive diluent, photoinitiator and pigment.

3·The toughness and strength of pure EP and modified EP were increased in a certain extent but the heat resistance was reduced when the reactive diluent was introduced into the systems.

4·Dodecyl glycidyl ether is a good reactive diluent with low toxicity and no irritation. The studies were concentrated on the synthesis and the factors effecting the quality of the diluent.
